Joseph Leatherman

Joe is a licensed interior designer in the State of Maryland who has been practicing design, space planning and project management for over 30 years. In addition to a BS in Interior Design from Drexel University, Joe was also designated a Specialist in Historic Preservation from Goucher College. After working in a variety of capacities for award-winning firms in Baltimore, he set up his own practice in 2000. Though the bulk of the practice’s work is in restaurant and hospitality, Joe is equally at home working on residential renovations and additions as well as commercial, office and retail interior spaces.

Whether large or small, traditional or contemporary, Joe’s approach to design is to act as problem solver, creating thoughtful solutions that meet the client’s needs. His personal love of historic preservation and fine arts can help infuse a project with an enriched perspective and awareness.  All aspects of the project—planning, development of style, and budget—are addressed in a cohesive, professional manner. The result is a balance of aesthetics and functionality for the client.
